Summary Of What We Believe Doctrinally:
About God:
God in and of Himself is infinite in glory and perfection; all-sufficient through selfless “agape” love. Genesis 1:1 He created all time, space, & matter in that sequence therefore is greater than (beyond) while holding all of these aspects of reality in the palm of His hand. Psalm 119:68 shows God & His ways are always “good”. God desires we imitate His character aspects of love in our daily life since love is His center, Mark 12:30-31.
About Jesus Christ:
Jesus is God in human flesh (John 1:1), He is the Son in the Trinity which is God. Christ is Koine Greek “Christos” which means “anointed one”. “Christ” is the Greek word for Hebrew “Messiah”- anointed one. Jesus is our friend, & Lord who came to save in love, not condemn, John 3:16-17.
About the Holy Spirit:
Genesis 1:1-2 shows the Holy Spirit is very present as part of the Trinity which is God. His Person & activities revolve around being “the Helper” & “Comforter”, John 14:16 & 15:26-27. He very much is our direct access point of God into our lives as we are His temple upon receiving our salvation relationship, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
About Sin:
Sin is an archery term for the measured distance you missed the “bullseye” center mark to your arrow. Romans 3:23 Biblical sin shows that everyone commits sins, crimes against self, others, & God. Romans 6:23 shows that the wages of our sin is death, but that Jesus overcame this punishment on the cross. Ephesians 4:22-24 shows us the process of taking off our old bad ways, to be renewed, & then put on the opposite right actions. Eph. 4:25 put off lying to put on telling truth, 4:28 putting off stealing to put on working hard & giving, etc. Eph.2:8-9 shows we are saved through God alone, not by removing our bad sins, BUT Eph. 2:10 shows we were created to do good not the evil so we are to transition through being Eph. 1:10 “In Christ” to doing what is right instead of sin.
About Salvation:
1.Genesis 3:15 is the first promise of God coming as the Messiah (Jesus) through a virgin women’s birthing (Isaiah 7:14) to overcome our relationship that was broken through initial sin by our ancestors recorded in Genesis 3 by eating the forbidden fruit.
2. The Messiah lived a sinless life, died as legal replacement instead of us (John 19:30), covering for all sins at all locations & time at once as Jesus is God omnipresent superior than the Genesis 1:1 declared created time, space, & matter.
3. In Jesus’ resurrection we saw justification had occurred, therefore through having relationship with Jesus we can ride His sacrificial works into salvation (Galatians 2:16). Eph. 1:10 “In Christ” through Eph. 2:8-10 salvation method & purpose for us shown. Via a true relationship in Christ through repentance (turning around to Him) we can enter into this personal Salvation through His work.
About the Bible:
The Bible in its’ original writings are the Scriptures of the Old & New Testament having been given by divine inspiration, it is the only flawless rule of faith and daily living, 2 Timothy 3:15-17. It has been preserved by God to be our: B asic I nstructions B efore L eaving E arth.
About The Church:
The Church is always singular in the Bible’s original language (1 Corinthians 12:12 & 27), since it is composed of those who are the “cells” that make up the body of the ‘Bride Of Christ’ (Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 5:25 & 32). The Messiah opens the way & romance’s us in love, we respond by choosing Him back (Ephesians 1:13). The term “churches” is an incorrect vernacular, since there is really only one Church which is the Bride Of Christ. There is only “the Church at…” describers for local congregations in the Bible’s original language as our designator to be part of the overall worldwide true Church.
About Eschatology:
Eschatology roughly translated means study of last/end things. In the Bible normally we refer to it as the study of the End Times. God’s goal through the End Times is to help many in a very difficult generation to get saved while He wraps up the impact of sin on us all, as seen in the book of Revelation as God sends out prophets, evangelists, & even Angels to proclaim about Himself to mankind.
Antichrist: The Antichrist will be the main figure through a segment of the End Times, who later will be possessed by Satan himself (Revelation 13:4). He will be a false-Messiah figure deceiving many, 1 John 2:18.
2nd Coming Of Christ: This happens at the end of the 7 year tribulation period, Revelation 19:11-16.
Millennial Reign of Christ on Earth: Jesus after setting foot back on the Earth will physically reign as King for 1000 years with Satan bound allowing for many to come to salvation through a very blessed means until Satan’s initial 1000 year jail sentence is finished, Revelation 20:1-3.
New Heavens & New Earth: Revelation 21 shows that in the End all things will become flawless, better, & old made new. Heaven attached to the New Earth itself.
About Eternal Security:
God is eternal (Isaiah 40:28) & my salvation is based on Him alone, Eph. 2:8-9. Therefore my security (me feeling safe) relies on me being in relationship with Him, John 10:27-30, not by my own works or efforts since He already accepts me as a Rom. 3:23 mess-up.
